My Sweet Emily

Emily is my very special friend, she is bright and intelligent, she is great fun to be around and a breath of fresh air wherever she goes, she makes me so very proud!
She is all girl, her favorite colour is pink, her favorite things are fairies magic and anything pretty.  She sees the beauty in everything and each gray cloud always has a silver lining, she is loving and gentle and kind and giving.
She is very headstrong and often comes up with very good sensible ideas or solutions to problems.

She loves going to the seaside and building Sandcastles

Her favorite drink is her morning and bedtime tea-bottles and she has to be laid just so to enjoy them.
She loves all animals, even spiders but especially the dogs
She loves to explore the world around her and enjoys to learn about nature and the world we live in
She has a bit of a shoe fetisch and i often catch her taking pictures of her shoes
She loves her baby sister very much and takes her big sister role very seriously.  She is always looking out for her and playing with her and helping me to take care of her and gets very upset when people say they could pinch her because they cant have her shes ours!
She loves to go to the playgound in the park no matter what the weather and is very pleased that she now has a big girl bike with two wheels and stabilizers
She loves to dress up and make believe and her favorite game to play involves mummy making her dollys talk to her.  Her motor skills are fantastic and she builds some amazing structures with her building blocks.
Her conversational skills are that of a 5 year old, she has very deep thoughts at times and often asks very complex questions which i have to research the answers for
She is very creative and loves art and crafts, she is very patient when she draws or paints and very good at glueing and sticking. When she colours in she takes great care to stay within the lines and is always asking me to put her latest masterpeace into her folder to save.

Did i mention she has a bit of a thing for shoes?
She loves my fairy ornaments and often begs to play with them, she is very very careful with them
She loves to dance and practices her moves daily, most of which she has choriographed herself.  She also loves to make up her own songs which usually include one or all of the following lyrics;
 *Beautiful Day
*Sunshine
*Happy
*My Family

She loves make up, perfume and nail varnish (Vail narnish) and LOVES parties, if we are not invited to one for a while she will throw her own party which includes costumes, playfood, music and of course Alice her imaginary friend always attends
She likes to travel in comfort, infact she likes comfort full stop, she is a real pest with her clothes especially seams and belts that annoy her and will strip off at any oppotunity
She loves role play adventures with her friend Jack and they often sail the high seas in a wash basket fishing and hunting down treasure islands
She likes to collect pretty things be it jewelery, shells, beads, marbles or conkers
Her favorite summertime activity is the trampoline and she has mastered quite a few stunts she has picked up from watching her cousins
She is a very picky eater and eats like a sparrow, her favorite food is cheese sandwiches and pizza.
She is very sensative and hates to be chased or when people make her jump.
She is desperate to please and wants to have lots of friends.
She has a very low pain threshhold and the slightest scratch can result in high pitched screams and days of respite and magic cream.

She is a very special and rare little girl and i am so glad she is mine!

Fireworks!

Emily loves fireworks, last year she spent half the night sat on a little stool in our front doorway all wrapped up watching them in the street and half the night sitting on the window sill in her bedroom, we were watching them for hours and she never got bored.

I was trying to find a good display to take them to but appart from driving and parking nightmare there was nothing local in walking distance so i was feeling a bit glum about it as me and Daddy are out tomorrow night and i didnt want them to miss out so we bought a small box of fizz bangs from the supermarket.

Emily was very excited about having our own to let off and after Ross and Lia arrived and we had our tea we got all wrapped up and went outside

Hannah really enjoyed the fireworks, she tensed up a bit when the really loud ones went off but she was quite happy, She kept looking round and the grown ups faces to see their reaction to check if it was ok to relax and then enjoyed the show.

For a small box i was very impressed with the 12 fireworks we had but ontop of that our backdoor neighbours seemed to be having some kind of competition and the display we got to see from our back garden was amazing! Emily was squealing with excitement!

Toddling and tantrums

Ok just hang on a minute where has the last 11 months gone?!
My little baby is now toddling about holding hands and using furniture and has taken 5-7 full steps on her own!

She is at a very frustrating stage right now as she is not happy in her walker anymore now she thinks she can do it by herself and constantly claws at peple trying to pull herself out of her walker as she much prefers to wander round the house holding someones hand and if you try to sit her down somewhere to give your back a rest she throws a hissy fit and starts lashing out.

Id be lieing if i said i wasnt worried about her temper, 90% of the time she is very laid back and chilled but the other 10% she is a little devil, spitting, pulling, slapping, i am hoping it is just a phase as at the moment as well as the frustration of not being the big girl she wants to be she is teething badly and getting over-tired allot as she is not getting the opportunity to have a proper mid-day nap due to us living in a zoo lol

Dance Class

Last lesson we asked Adele to order a leotard for Emily in the right colour as we are fairly certain she is going to continue to enjoy this school so she was very pleased to find it had arrived when we got there today, it fits her lovely with some growing room and she looked gorgeous all dressed up with her hair in a bun.

She really really enjoyed herself again, they did some excersises where they each are given a small blanket and they have to use it was butterfly wings and also Adele gave them a tiara to wear, im guessing this is some sort of posture practice.  Emily came out well hyped up having had a brilliant time and she cant wait for next week.  They also have to bring a soft toy, im not sure yet what it is used for and im still trying to get out of Emily what they do with them but Nanna bought a perfect rag doll from the car boot that nearly has the same uniform hehe

Trick or Treat!

Emily has been watching too many American cartoons! I have never partook in the celebration of Halloween but this year i couldnt escape it! Emily was so excited about it and begged and pleaded for us to go trick or treating so i decided there was no harm in getting dressed up and visiting a few family members for a quick cup of tea.  I had bought Emily a witches outfit and was reluctant to spend money on an outfit for Hannah that would only fit her this once but Nanna picked up a tiny wtich outfit from the carboot this morning which is brilliant.

We first visited Auntie Celia and Uncle Geoff who inundated the girls with sweets! Then we went on to visit Auntie Shells house which was very spooky as they was playing spooky music out into the street and Uncle Rich had two amazing pumpkins he had made.

Hannah had no idea what was going on really but so long as Emily is happy so is Hannah.
I didnt want to waste a fortune on an outfit for Hannah but this morning when we went to the carboot Nanna spotted a tiny little witch outfit for 50p!
Auntie Shell as always entered into the spirit of things head on and got all painted up, When i took Emily to the toilet she said "Mum, Auntie Shells dribbles arnt real are they?" hehe

We then went on to Auntie Sylvias with a McDonalds for Emilys tea and finished up at Auntie Maries house, by the time we got home we were all worn out from all the ining and outing of the car but i think Emily really enjoyed it, however we have decided to put on a small party next year to make it easier.

Emily'isms

If you ever go near a mole hole without a mother who cares for you the mole will pop up and eat you, so never go near a mole without your mum caring about you! And never leave the children near the mole in anger!

Uh oh here comes trouble

Hannah is into everything now and i have had to break up a couple of slap fights between her and Emily! This is a phase i was dreading for good reason it seems.

I left Emily in the room yesterday eating her tea and when i checked in Emily was eating her burger engrossed in the TV and Hannah had whipped her plate from under her nose and was troffing her chips!
