He has Been!!!!!

Well my little girls must have been very good this year because Santa came and left loads of great presents!  The girls were both very excited, it was much nicer this year as Hannah understood a little better and couldnt wait to get stuck in.
Emilys main presents was a Leapster 2 games console and a heap of games, a walking Barbie Horse, Zoobles and an enormous Barbie House!
Hannahs main presents was a remote control car, a scooter like her big sisters, lots of Ben & Holly stuff including a laptop and a massive collection of dressing up shoes, she is MAD about shoes!

Later round at Nanna & Grandads we discovered more gifts! The girls each got a posh swivel wheels pushchair and an interactive dolly to go in them.  They had a lovely and exhausting day and we cant wait to do it all again next year!!

December Catch Up..

Hannah is absolubtly adorable. I dont know how i got so lucky. As if Emily wasnt a blessing enough i got another gorgeous little girl and i feel so greedy!
Up until now Hannah has been quite difficult with a terrible temper and a fierce independance that could be very frustrating but just lately she has become allot better at communicating and this has resulted in her chilling out a bit and we dont see her temper half as much.  Her manners are incredible, she always says please and she must say thank you a hundred times a day
Her hair is thickening up and she is becoming a real toddler now, i can even squeeze tiny little platts in her hair!  My girls are both amazing when its time to get ready, they sit stock still on a little wooden chair while i do their hair and when iv finished and kiss their cheek to signal that im all done Hannah says "Etch you mommy" (Thank you)
The girls love to help me round the house.  Emilys favorite job is cleaning with her "special spray" (which is just lemon scented water hehe) she is very good at tidying up too and she makes me laugh when she mutters "this house is a pig-sty!"

Hannah's favorite job is to help me feed the animals and empty the dish washer. She knows where everything goes and is quite capable and is very carefull when she carries the plates to the cupboard.
The girls get on really well, id say 85% of the time.  We often have the odd spat and argument and i am sick to death of hearing "MINE!" but for the most part they get on really well.  Hannah loves Emily to death, she is obsessed with her and copies her every move.  Sometimes i catch them having a cuddle on the setee and it makes me melt, just adorable!

The girls favorite game to play together is dressing up, fortunatly we have lots of princess dresses, tiaras and plastic play shoes.  I love watching them clip clop around the house in their finery with a little handbag hanging over their arms lol

Emily is beautiful inside and out.  She is seriously clever, has heaps of common sense and loves everything girly... Butterflys, fairies, rainbows, sunshine, cute animals, dancing, singing, drawing ... especially drawing.  The first thing Emily wants to do every single morning is have her pens and some paper to draw me yet another fantastic picture.  Hannah is also becoming quite the artist because of course what Emily does, Hannah must copy lol
The first thing Hannah does on a morning is to get a bowl out of the cupboard, put it on the sideboard and says "brek mummy" She loves her chocolate ready brek

Kirkhamgate

Well Emily has a great first week at school. She managed to attend all week despite her still ongoing cold and chesty cough and it gave me a great excuse to nip in each dinner time to see how she was getting on to give her some Calpol.  The teachers are great and Emily seems to be getting on well.  There is a little girl called Ruby who Emily has latched onto but im a little bit worried Em may suffocate her a little.  When Emily decides someone is her friend she seems to think that person should be with her constantly but im sure it will settle as Emily relaxes and get to know the other kids better.

This week she went on her very first school trip, they took them on massive coaches to the West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds to see Jack & The Beanstalk.  Iv never been so beside myself, worried sick about her all day but i needn't have worried, they brought her home safe and sound and she had a wonderful time.  She also had her Christmas party so it turned out a great week to join as there has been lots to be excited about.

I feel really bad about the school move and wish it had been avoidable but i do still think i made the right choice to move her.  She will settle in nicely im sure of it and if all else fails i will have to eat humble pie and go back to The Mount cap in hand and beg them to take her back but if she was that unhappy i would do it without a seconds thought.

New School

Emily has been going to The Mount school since September and i have hated every minute of it.  I choose the school by mistake working on old recomendations and had no idea what i was letting her in for.
The school is right at the top of a hill, is falling into dis-repair, there is no security or closed gates and they shove them out to play in all weathers with or without a coat.  She has been bullied and chased by big boys playing monsters and has come home countless times with nasty injuries to her knees and hands. (She has also started having nightmares about being chased)

She has only had 65% attendance in this time as she has been really ill with coughs colds and ear infections which i dont believe has been helped by the play time situation.

I have been looking round and trying to get her into a better school since pretty much day one and found my ideal choice at South Parade Ossett but unfortunatly the have a waiting list of 6 children so i lowered my standards slightly and managed to get her a place at Kirkhamgate Primary.

Its a bit more of a commute on a morning but it will be worth it.  She is very sad to be leaving her friends behind, especially Holly but she is taking the move very well and is looking forward to her first school trip with them on Wednesday to the Theatre to see Annie!

Im a little nervous for her for her first day tomorrow, i just hope iv made the right decision!

Hannahs 2nd Birthday!

My baby is 2!  Where does the time go!
Hannah had a lovely day despite being full of cold and a nasty cough.  One of her presents from me was faulty and the gift sent by Gail and Graeme was a duplicate of a christmas gift i have already purchased so half way through the day i made a mad dash to the toy shop to buy her replacements and it all turned out well as she got her own easle which she loves and an electronic colour mixing game but her favorite gift was a Charlie Bear teddy which she insisted on taking to bed with her.
We had the usual tea time finger buffet which was lovely and Kath and Lottie turned up which was really nice of them.  Lottie was playing lovely with Hannah, shes so sweet.

The big kids all made a den in the corner with the easle and Nan's computer chair and let the girls come in to play.
I bought a seperate tiny birthday cake for Hannah to blow the candles out on as i figured no one would want a slice of the big one after my little snotty nose gremlin had blown all over it hehe
She had a lovely day and really enjoyed singing Happy Birthday along with us and blew her candles out in one shot first time.
Cant believe my tiny little poorly baby is now a fiesty 2 year old!

Drawing and Clouring

Hannah loves to copy anything and everything Emily does and has recently started to get right into drawing and colouring (which Emily is always doing)  She is starting to get really good at it now which is giving me a great opportunity to teach her her colours.
She concentrates very hard and is happy for ages!

She sticks her tongue out just like her sister does too hehe

While Hannah was busy colouring and i was busy seeing to the animals Emily was quietly drawing at the opposite side of the table.  She called me over to take a look at what she had been doing and this is what she showed me!!
Fo Sant and roodolf lryndiay
and inside she had drawn a picture of Roodolf
And written "Luv Emily too Sant" "Hapi Chrismas too sant and roodolf l reyndiay" "ay wot orget yod minspay"
My girl is a genius!!

Seriously cute!

I dont think my beautifull girls could get any cuter if they tried!
Emily gets so frustrated sometimes when Hannah copies her every move but sometimes she thinks its funny and tells her to copy her hehe

Bang!

Last year we decided to have a small set of fireworks at home as i had never really gotten round to taking Emily to a display as we are usually tied to the house looking after the dogs but this year i decided we would make the effort and go to Thornes Park display.
Hannah doesnt much like her picture taken lately so this is the face i often get hehe
Emily really liked the idea of sparklers and couldnt wait to have a go till she realised just how close they get to your hands and was convinced it had burnt her but i think it was a little scratch from the sharp end of the handle, bless her x
When the main fireworks started Hannah was a bit upset because i had made her go in her buggy.  I wanted her safe while we was all gawping at the sky, didnt want the bogey man to snatch her.  She wasnt happy at all at first but soon got into the display
Emily really enjoyed it, it was a really good show with an enormous bonfire!

They loved the biggest and loudest ones most of all! It was really nice and we will definatly go again next year!

Half Term Fun!

Emilys bestest friend ever is Alisha, which is cool because me and her mum Sara are also big mates!
Alisha is lovely, she is very polite, kind natured and a perfect friend for Em.  Her mum has been a bit poorly of late so i asked if she could come spend some times with us to help out and also because Emily gets bored not having someone her age to play with so win win!

We had planned to take the girls to the circus but as we had time to kill we went to Ikea for hotdogs and Doughnuts and then called up at Oakwell Hall Park which went down a treat!

Me and mum was really dissapointed with the circus, It was a small one and everything was way over-priced and we felt a little short changed but the girls loved it anyway.  Hannah was too busy climbing about on all the empty benches so it was a bit of a nightmare but alls well that ends well.

The following day we had Alisha again and i wanted to make it a week to remember so crammed in as much as possible into the day. After playing princesses we decided to do some painting and painting paper plates

When that got boring i dug out all the play-doh and we have loads! Every colour of the rainbow and hundreds of cutters but the favorite by far was the creature making set.  I divided the bits out equally as i had originally bought 2 sets anyway.  Emily makes better creatures than me!

While they was busy i set up a living room pic-nic and even used Emilys tiny tea set!

But best of all is the suprise i set up while they was busy having their pic-nic......

Another indoor paddling pool! Alisha couldnt believe her eyes!
They had great fun playing together and a little later Hannah got up from her nap and joined them both, they are both very sweet with Hannah and mother her hehe

Emily was really sad and upset that Alisha had to go home but all in all the day was a great sucess.  I even made her a little memory book packed with photos for her to take hom to show her Mum what she had been up to :0)

Indoor Pool!

Its Emily's first half term off school and boy do i know it!  Iv been so looking forward to having her at home with us where she belongs and all she has done since she left school on Friday afternoon is complain that she is bored!
So not to be outdone by school fun i decided we would make some memories that she will never forget ..... Like an indoor pool! hahahaha!

I filled it up with nice warm water and kept it topped up, the girls loved it and both was very well behaved and didnt flood the kitchen which had been a worry.  They stayed in for ages as it didnt get cold and there was no dead flies floating in it!

It was easy enough to empty syphoning out of the back door, i might just do it again and next time the girls are bored im seriously considering bringing in the sandpit!

Catching up

I have been so busy lately i have been neglecting my blogging duties so here is a quick catch up!
Hannah is all recovered from her eye operation but we are yet to notice any improvment.  We have housed a new kitten called Lilly that was living outside a restaurant, she is very scared of people, except Emily and Hannah and is now the best of friend with Talula.

Hannah loves to go on the trampoline now and has even started copying some of the stunts she sees emily doing, she is very rough and tumble!
The best and most played with item is still a cardboard box!
Emily is enjoying school, what little she has seen of it in her first 4 weeks as she has been off sick for the most of it what with coughs colds, ear infections, etc but she has made a big impression on her teachers and class mates and has a new best friend called Holly
Hannah adores her big sister! I mean totally adores her, she follows her everywhere and copies everything she does.  She is really missing Emily when she is out at school.  Em gets a bit stressed out at times when she cant even yawn without Hannah copying her but she copes very well
Emily loves to wear the same clothes as Hannah and wishes she was a twin and keeps asking me to make it so, she was very dissapointed when i explained that this is a wish i could never grant.
Emily took part in her first school performance of "Little Boy Blue" at the harvest festival.  She did great when she remembered to join in, i could tell she was really shy and tired but she did her best bless her!
Hannah is obsessed with Iggle Piggle, he is by far her favorite character, closely followed by Ben & Holly.  She gets really excited when either are on TV and goes and gets comfy on the setee to watch it holding her own hands like she always does.
She loves her tea bottles just like her big sis.
Now Emily is full time at school she takes packed lunch, it doesnt seem to matter how fun i make it she never eats very much of it but as they have Milk, Fruit and lunch at school she is managing very well compared to what she usually eats.
Hannah still has a fierce temper although the headbanging seems to be a thing of the past she can sulk for britain!
Emily attended her very first school friend birthday party, she was very honored to be invited and was 1 of only 2 school friends invited along. It was her best friend Holly Saywoods 5th birthday and it was at Thornes Sports Arena where there was a bouncy castle, sandpit and lots of running about and being silly.  She had a brilliant time and looked very grown up in her party outfit and high heels!
Hannah is turning into such a pretty little girl, even with her gammy eye, she has beautiful golden blonde hair that falls in curls just like her sisters did and a very cheeky smile.  She has become very loving lately and always greets me with open arms for a hug and thinks eskimo kisses are very funny!
I just love spending time with my girls, dont get me wrong there are days when all i seem to do is shout and get sick of hearing my own voice but i wouldnt change either of them for the world, they are my everything!
