Hannah went for her 1st play date at Rebecca Waring's house yesterday. She is absolutely obsessed with this girl who is just as spirited and feisty as she is. She has only ever been on one school play date before so I was drilling the rules and etiquette into her all week. Remember your manners. Flush the toilet. Wash your hands. If dinner is something you don't like try your best to eat it and have a drink to help make it go down. Etc etc.
When I collected her she said she had a great time but Becki was moody allot because Hannah wanted to do one thing and her another. She very hoitily informed me that "guests choose!"
I asked where on earth she had learnt such a thing and that I hoped she hadnt actually SAID that, especially in Rebeccas mums earshot and explained how rude it was.. she shook her head and went quiet. As we was walking from the car to the front door she was trailing behind and when I turned to tell her to get a wriggle on she had ground to a halt and was crying big wet tears! "Hannah what's the matter love?" She managed to sob out "What will I do now? I got it wrong and now they won't want me to go play again.." bless her! I consoled her and explained social blunders are expected at 6 years of age and she is just learning as is all her friends lol she cheered up when I promised to text Rebeccas mum and explain 😊

Clifton Park
We went to explore a park we have never been to before that I have heard people talking about and im so glad we did! The girls loved it and it has easily become our favorite summer time park. There is a huge play area with slides, sandpits, climbing frames, swings, tuneful stepping stones and roundabouts. There is also a good choice of cheap rides and a small scooter park perfect for their age but best of all there is a big free water park with fountains to play in. We loved it so much we went back the next day too. Unfortunately the weather went against us but we still had a good few hours :)

I see you!
Today we collected the girls new glasses :) Emilys are weaker than her last and just for reading when she is tired but Hannahs are for all day wear as they have found she has a weak left eye that is not cooperating with her right so affects her perception of depth. She is to go back in three months to see if the glasses are helping and if not she needs to be referred to the hospital.

Sundown Adventure Land
Today we took the girls all the way to Sundown again. It was a little strange for Emily at first as everything seemed smaller and had lost allot of the magic but she soon started to have fun :) was a great day out yet again but I think we have done the place in now so doubt we will return, my girls are growing up way too fast!

Public Transport
The girls are always nagging to go on a bus and a train so this afternoon we bought a family day rover and did just that! We got the bus into town and a train to leeds, had a wander around some shops to kill a bit of time till we could travel back on the train again and got a taxi home from the station to save our legs. Turned out to be a good afternoon and the girls had an experience for sure lol

Summer Days and a Sleepover!
Yesterday we went to Locke Park in Barnsley, its a great park with a huge play park for the kids so when we found out there was a Gala today we let Stacey know about it and went back again! The girls took there new bikes (I bought them from a second hand bike shop this morning) and they had great fun playing with Leyyahh Alan and Oliver. Leyyahh asked to come stay over so I said sure!
They are now laid on the sofa bed in the playroom watching Shrek 3 eating goodies and drinking tea out of fruit shoot bottles hehe

Down Pit!
We went down the pit today! Was really interesting for me but bit too long winded for the kids and the guides super broad Yorkshire was lost a bit on the kids, had to do a fair bit of translating, and of course half way through Hannah was desperate for the toilet and was shocked they didn't have toilets down the mine lol feel sorry for tomorrow tours, when given the option to go through the shaft over the stepping stones or the easy way.. take the shaft or you might step in a puddle!
