He has Been!!!!!

Well my little girls must have been very good this year because Santa came and left loads of great presents!  The girls were both very excited, it was much nicer this year as Hannah understood a little better and couldnt wait to get stuck in.
Emilys main presents was a Leapster 2 games console and a heap of games, a walking Barbie Horse, Zoobles and an enormous Barbie House!
Hannahs main presents was a remote control car, a scooter like her big sisters, lots of Ben & Holly stuff including a laptop and a massive collection of dressing up shoes, she is MAD about shoes!

Later round at Nanna & Grandads we discovered more gifts! The girls each got a posh swivel wheels pushchair and an interactive dolly to go in them.  They had a lovely and exhausting day and we cant wait to do it all again next year!!

December Catch Up..

Hannah is absolubtly adorable. I dont know how i got so lucky. As if Emily wasnt a blessing enough i got another gorgeous little girl and i feel so greedy!
Up until now Hannah has been quite difficult with a terrible temper and a fierce independance that could be very frustrating but just lately she has become allot better at communicating and this has resulted in her chilling out a bit and we dont see her temper half as much.  Her manners are incredible, she always says please and she must say thank you a hundred times a day
Her hair is thickening up and she is becoming a real toddler now, i can even squeeze tiny little platts in her hair!  My girls are both amazing when its time to get ready, they sit stock still on a little wooden chair while i do their hair and when iv finished and kiss their cheek to signal that im all done Hannah says "Etch you mommy" (Thank you)
The girls love to help me round the house.  Emilys favorite job is cleaning with her "special spray" (which is just lemon scented water hehe) she is very good at tidying up too and she makes me laugh when she mutters "this house is a pig-sty!"

Hannah's favorite job is to help me feed the animals and empty the dish washer. She knows where everything goes and is quite capable and is very carefull when she carries the plates to the cupboard.
The girls get on really well, id say 85% of the time.  We often have the odd spat and argument and i am sick to death of hearing "MINE!" but for the most part they get on really well.  Hannah loves Emily to death, she is obsessed with her and copies her every move.  Sometimes i catch them having a cuddle on the setee and it makes me melt, just adorable!

The girls favorite game to play together is dressing up, fortunatly we have lots of princess dresses, tiaras and plastic play shoes.  I love watching them clip clop around the house in their finery with a little handbag hanging over their arms lol

Emily is beautiful inside and out.  She is seriously clever, has heaps of common sense and loves everything girly... Butterflys, fairies, rainbows, sunshine, cute animals, dancing, singing, drawing ... especially drawing.  The first thing Emily wants to do every single morning is have her pens and some paper to draw me yet another fantastic picture.  Hannah is also becoming quite the artist because of course what Emily does, Hannah must copy lol
The first thing Hannah does on a morning is to get a bowl out of the cupboard, put it on the sideboard and says "brek mummy" She loves her chocolate ready brek

Kirkhamgate

Well Emily has a great first week at school. She managed to attend all week despite her still ongoing cold and chesty cough and it gave me a great excuse to nip in each dinner time to see how she was getting on to give her some Calpol.  The teachers are great and Emily seems to be getting on well.  There is a little girl called Ruby who Emily has latched onto but im a little bit worried Em may suffocate her a little.  When Emily decides someone is her friend she seems to think that person should be with her constantly but im sure it will settle as Emily relaxes and get to know the other kids better.

This week she went on her very first school trip, they took them on massive coaches to the West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds to see Jack & The Beanstalk.  Iv never been so beside myself, worried sick about her all day but i needn't have worried, they brought her home safe and sound and she had a wonderful time.  She also had her Christmas party so it turned out a great week to join as there has been lots to be excited about.

I feel really bad about the school move and wish it had been avoidable but i do still think i made the right choice to move her.  She will settle in nicely im sure of it and if all else fails i will have to eat humble pie and go back to The Mount cap in hand and beg them to take her back but if she was that unhappy i would do it without a seconds thought.

New School

Emily has been going to The Mount school since September and i have hated every minute of it.  I choose the school by mistake working on old recomendations and had no idea what i was letting her in for.
The school is right at the top of a hill, is falling into dis-repair, there is no security or closed gates and they shove them out to play in all weathers with or without a coat.  She has been bullied and chased by big boys playing monsters and has come home countless times with nasty injuries to her knees and hands. (She has also started having nightmares about being chased)

She has only had 65% attendance in this time as she has been really ill with coughs colds and ear infections which i dont believe has been helped by the play time situation.

I have been looking round and trying to get her into a better school since pretty much day one and found my ideal choice at South Parade Ossett but unfortunatly the have a waiting list of 6 children so i lowered my standards slightly and managed to get her a place at Kirkhamgate Primary.

Its a bit more of a commute on a morning but it will be worth it.  She is very sad to be leaving her friends behind, especially Holly but she is taking the move very well and is looking forward to her first school trip with them on Wednesday to the Theatre to see Annie!

Im a little nervous for her for her first day tomorrow, i just hope iv made the right decision!

Hannahs 2nd Birthday!

My baby is 2!  Where does the time go!
Hannah had a lovely day despite being full of cold and a nasty cough.  One of her presents from me was faulty and the gift sent by Gail and Graeme was a duplicate of a christmas gift i have already purchased so half way through the day i made a mad dash to the toy shop to buy her replacements and it all turned out well as she got her own easle which she loves and an electronic colour mixing game but her favorite gift was a Charlie Bear teddy which she insisted on taking to bed with her.
We had the usual tea time finger buffet which was lovely and Kath and Lottie turned up which was really nice of them.  Lottie was playing lovely with Hannah, shes so sweet.

The big kids all made a den in the corner with the easle and Nan's computer chair and let the girls come in to play.
I bought a seperate tiny birthday cake for Hannah to blow the candles out on as i figured no one would want a slice of the big one after my little snotty nose gremlin had blown all over it hehe
She had a lovely day and really enjoyed singing Happy Birthday along with us and blew her candles out in one shot first time.
Cant believe my tiny little poorly baby is now a fiesty 2 year old!
