Lion King

Emily is loving her new performing class, nearly as much as me and Nanna actually hehe
It so lovely to be able to be in the room and watch them.  Miss Sara fits in loads of exciting stuff, there doing Lion King, Annie singing songs and scales and a bit of ballet and tap.

This week as a treat for the kids they brough in some outfits for the kids, unfortunatly they only had 3 lion costumes so some of the kids had to dress as piglets but as we have become firm favorites of Miss Sara's mum she made sure Emily got one of the lion outfits.

Emily loved it, she was made up she also really loved that they had brought in scrubbing brushes for the Annie dance! Roll on Mondays!

Grimsby for't Day!

Me and Steve was supposed to be having a night out in Grimsby and staying at Ross and Lias but due to the fact we have been having a fair few issues with the dogs and Talula i decided it wasnt fair to expect mum to take on all my responsibilities so we took the girls with us.

They are such fantastic kids, they behave so well when we are around our friends where other kids would most likely play up.  We went to a restaurant with a play area for tea, Emily was feeding Hannah beans from her plate to keep her happy while i ate my tea in peace bless her.

Unfortunatly because time was getting on and we didnt want to hinder everyone elses plans for the night out we had to leave without Emily getting to go in the play area.  I explained the situation to her and promised her i would take her to a play area back home and she was great about it.  She is incredible and never ceases to amaze me, i dont know any other kid in the same situation that wouldnt moan or get upset.

We had to stand and wait for the lady to get Emily a baloon and who walked past but Peppa Pig! I pointed her out to Emily all excited and she informed me "Its not really Peppa mum, its a human in a costume" ...

After tea we called in at Q world so the boys could have a few games of pool.  Emily asked me if they would be splashing in the pool so i had to explain that pool is like snooker.  To be fair it was pretty boring for the girls but they still behaved, Emily was chattering away to everyone and they both had a good run around the unused tables and Hannah was made up when she found 2 new toys!

It was a late one and everyone fell asleep in the car on the way home, including Daddy!

What have i done!

Well being impulsive is just in my nature, if i decide i want something i want it yesterday its just that simple.

So i got a kitten!

Yes i know i am insane.  Emily has always nagged for a kitten and i explained that it would not work out with the dogs but when the dogs go we will get a cat next time.  She was dissapointed about it and brought it up often but understood the situation.

Anyway i got to thinking Emily will be nearly 14 by the time the dogs go and we have have dogs and cats in the past and well you only live once and we wont know unless we try so i just did it.
This is Talula, she is 9 weeks old and very very super cute.
The girls love her, iv never heard them laugh so much and Talula has settled in very quickly and is a very good girl. However after the first meeting with Ziggy things arnt looking too good.

This is how ziggy has been since she realised we have a new housemate!

Its all over!

Today we went to Dewsbury Hospital for Hannahs 6m+ post op checkup.  There was very little details on the appointment letter so i was unsure who it was with but we headed off to the hospital 30 minutes in advance.  Little did we know every idiot in the world would be on the road causing an obstruction, from braking down cars to downright dangerous drivers but we got there in the end and by the time we parked the car was 10 mins late.  It took us another 15 mins to find the place we needed to be, i was very flustered and embaresed!

When they called us thru it was very sureal! It was the same room, same Consultant, same councilor, nothing in the room had moved since the last time we sat there when we was told the bad news and my world fell appart.

It was so lovely to see Dr Brown again, she is such a lovely woman and you never feel like a number with her, she talks about loads of off topic things and really listens and cares.

I was worried about how Hannah would be because the last time she saw a doctor she was hysterical which had suprised me as she is used to this environment now but she is of an age now where she understands where she is.

I neednt have worried, she was great and sat very still while Dr Brown listened to her chest and with a little bit of chocolate button blackmail she laid lovely and still during her ultrasound.

I could see the patch with my own eyes, it was great to see it and Dr Brown was extremely pleased to find even the residual hole that had remained at the edge of the patch has healed over completely!

Hannah is now classed as a normal healthy child!  They want to keep an eye on her as she grows of course, i think mainly to check her bones grow as they should etc, i thought maybe they would just see her 6-12monthly for a while but Dr Brown said "see you in 2 years"

I hadnt realised till that moment how much stress and worry i was still carrying about.  It was the oddest feeling to completely relax for the first time in 10 months.

Hannah was in a very good mood, either she knows more than she lets on or was just reflecting the mood of me and her Dad but she was mouthing off and laughing all the way back to the car hehe

Prima Ballerina?

Emily has had a few issues lately at Ballet, its no big deal but she gets over excited and runs about allot and is finding it a little hard to concentrate.  I think its because it is the highlight of her week and because she hasnt been at school like the other girls on the morning she has allot more energy than them. As a result i have enrolled her in another class during the week but this class is "Performing Class" and covers acting singing and other dance styles.  We went last week and it is right up her street, she absolubtly loved it!

We had a little chat about her behaviour in ballet and i explained that i paid for her to go dancing not to be sitting on the chair at the side in the sin bin and that this week she must really try her hardest to concentrate.

Well her hard work paid off, she came bursting out of class with a massive smile on her face and waving a certificate about!

Apparently she did some excellent jumps in 1st whatever that means, i was so proud of her i almost cried!
