Trick or Treat!

Emily has been watching too many American cartoons! I have never partook in the celebration of Halloween but this year i couldnt escape it! Emily was so excited about it and begged and pleaded for us to go trick or treating so i decided there was no harm in getting dressed up and visiting a few family members for a quick cup of tea.  I had bought Emily a witches outfit and was reluctant to spend money on an outfit for Hannah that would only fit her this once but Nanna picked up a tiny wtich outfit from the carboot this morning which is brilliant.

We first visited Auntie Celia and Uncle Geoff who inundated the girls with sweets! Then we went on to visit Auntie Shells house which was very spooky as they was playing spooky music out into the street and Uncle Rich had two amazing pumpkins he had made.

Hannah had no idea what was going on really but so long as Emily is happy so is Hannah.
I didnt want to waste a fortune on an outfit for Hannah but this morning when we went to the carboot Nanna spotted a tiny little witch outfit for 50p!
Auntie Shell as always entered into the spirit of things head on and got all painted up, When i took Emily to the toilet she said "Mum, Auntie Shells dribbles arnt real are they?" hehe

We then went on to Auntie Sylvias with a McDonalds for Emilys tea and finished up at Auntie Maries house, by the time we got home we were all worn out from all the ining and outing of the car but i think Emily really enjoyed it, however we have decided to put on a small party next year to make it easier.

Emily'isms

If you ever go near a mole hole without a mother who cares for you the mole will pop up and eat you, so never go near a mole without your mum caring about you! And never leave the children near the mole in anger!

Uh oh here comes trouble

Hannah is into everything now and i have had to break up a couple of slap fights between her and Emily! This is a phase i was dreading for good reason it seems.

I left Emily in the room yesterday eating her tea and when i checked in Emily was eating her burger engrossed in the TV and Hannah had whipped her plate from under her nose and was troffing her chips!

Adelles Dance Academy

Every day i get a guilt trip about Emily and dance classes, she loves singing and dancing, she is really into Ballet and watched Angelia Ballerina on the TV and when she is in her bedroom she puts on Classical music on the radio and practices her moves (apparently they are called ronda chets)

So i decided to have another search on the internet to see if i could find anything and stumbled accross Addelles Dance Academy running classes on wednesdays at 4pm which is much better than all the others that are always early morning so i rang the lady and asked if we could come up tonight and have a look.

When we got there we was very shocked and pleased to find the Adelle is Adelle Boffin one of Maries best friends from high school! This put me at ease instantly as she is really nice and always has been and it turns out she has a little girl called Olivia who is about the same age as Emily and is in the same class.

I couldnt believe it when we got in there! There was at least 6 little girls all in Emily's age groups prancing around and getting ready for the class and no boys! Result!

I was really sad that parents were not allowed to watch the session but we ear-wigged at the door and it sounded fantastic fun! They do a ballet section with warm ups to start and then they take teddy's in and do some acting and roleplay then they do a little tap before the end.  Each time Emily came out for the next thing or to get her shoes on she was out of breath and beaming so she obvisouly had a great time.

It was hard milking her to find out exactly what they had been doing but she eventually showed me some dance moves which included Happy Feet, jumping and a few tap steps!

Cant wait for the next one!

Ossett Indoor Play & Hannah Babble

We were a bit bored today so decided to go and investigate a new indoor play place that i found on the internet.

It was a little dissapointing when we got there to start with as it was the usual set up but it was like they had totally forgotten to fill all the empty spaces with balls which was a shame so the only real activity was 2 big slides which i knew Emily wouldnt be impressed about.  We had been there about 45 mins before i asked a member of staff if it would hold my weight and she was fine about it so i managed to get Emily to go down on my knee the first time the next time just holding my hand and by the third time she was happy to let go and was having a blast!

She made a new friend called Joe, he was a very nice young man, she has good taste, he was briging baby toys accross for Hannah and was very sweet letting Emily boss him about, they were both up and down the slide about 50 times.
Hannah was quite happy sitting on the sofa playing with the toys and watching the big kids and mum swears she heard Hannah say Emily 3 times which wouldnt suprise me at all as she hears me shout it about 20 times a day hehe

Unfortunatly Emily did take a bit of a fall and ended up headbutting the sofa but she was alright after a bit.

When it was time to leave i suggested she thanked the lady behind the counter so she said "Thanks iv had a great time and i made a new friend, iv wasted alot of enegery though i will sleep good tonight!"

4th-10th Oct - Lias Visit

This week Lia came to stay with us for a break from home.  Emily loves Lia, they are big mates and always playing together, Lia is brilliant with her and will make a great mum when her time comes.

Unfortunatly we couldnt do very much as we dont have much money at the moment as i have stopped getting paid from work now till i go back but we made the most of it by doing free things!

We hit on a lovely day so we packed a pic-nic and took off to Wrenthorpe park with Emily's survival backpack.  Emily's ladybirds had just hatched that we collected at Roundhay last week so we took them with us to release.  The girls played on the swings for a while then we went on a walk looking for mini-beasts and leaves to collect.

Hannah loves the toddler swings now she can sit up and hold on properly she feels more safe.

She enjoys a ride through the park in her pram laughing away and taking in the sights.

Emily was using her binoculars to try and spot a parrott in the forest!  She didnt see one but never mind hehe

Another of the days was used up in the house, we built and enormous den in the hallway and had an indoor pic-nic in the room using Emilys real pot tea set.

The following morning we were dancing around the kitchen like we ususally do and i found a bride headband i bought Emily and popped it on Hannah, she wasnt bothered at all and didnt even try to take it off, she had it on for about and hour!

At the weekend Ross came to collect Lia so i decided that we would go bowling!  Unfortunatly Hannah is too small for this yet so she went to Nannas house for the afternoon and we went up to Superbowl.  I was worried Emily would complain about the shoes because she is very sensative but she loved them and was tap-dancing about.  We used the barriers for the first game and Emily was pushing the pink balls down the ramp and even managed to get a strike so i snapped a picture of her victory pose!

Emily started getting bored during our second game and had started resorting to laying on the floor and pushing the balls with her feet so inbetween her goes i gave her my camera and she took some interesting snaps...

She really does seem to like those shoes! LOL!
After bowling we went to the Ship Inn for tea which has a waky!  All the tables were full so we decided to play first and eat when a table came free, Lia and Daddy both took turns playing with Emily but unfortunatly she only got to have about 20mins before a table came free but she didnt create a fuss bless her!
