Toddler Swings

We had a walk up to the swings at Jubilee Hall today and decided to try Hannah in one of the toddler swings now she is a bit stronger with her sitting up and she loved it! This child has no fear just a massive zest for life, such a pleasant little baby

Emily'isms

Mum be quite because Hannah is asleep, i just sung her to sleep humming a rock a bye!

Dear Santa

Emily just found a piece of lined paper and decided to write a note to Santa on it, of course its all just wiggly lines but she was telling me what she was writing as she went along;

Family Fair in the park

Well it was a grey day and forecast to rain but me and the girls were bored and Nanna was away helping out in the sandwich shop so we decided to just go for it and investigate the fair we saw advertised in the park, we got a bit soggy but im glad we braved it, the kids rides were only £1 a go and Emily is getting really brave with rides now after our our holiday last week at Haven.

She even went on the bungee trampolines!

Happy and Healthy

I cant believe the improvement in Hannah since she had her operation, sometimes i look back at her earlier pictures and i cant believe i didnt see how ill she was, its funny to see her now with some chub on her bones, lovely to see and such a relief!

19th-23rd Haven Holiday!

We enjoyed our Haven holiday so much last year but it wasnt the same without taking nan and Grandad so this year we all booked a static caravan together for the week.
Emily had been SO looking forward to it for weeks since it was booked and was a great help when we packed the car, she loves helping.

When we arived we were too early for book in so we had a wander round the clubhouse and Emily dragged me her Dad and Grandad on the crazy golf which was one of her "things to do" on her mental list she had been preparing for weeks hehe

As we were killing time we also let her have a go on the trampolines, even though she does spend half her life on the one at home.

When we finally got booked in we went to hunt down our caravan and to Emilys delight we had lots of little girl neighbours who all decided to hang out outside our caravan all week, there was a little girl called Amber (5) right next door, another called Kayleigh (4) just opposite and another little girl called Leigh (3) in the van next door, they were all lovely little girls so perfect playmates and we kept bumping into Amber and her family in the clubhouse on the evenings so Emily had someone to boogy with which was great!

On Emilys "list of things to do" was to go on a rowing boat, so we took her to Peasholm Park and Nan and Grandad kindly babysat Hannah while me Emily and Daddy went on one, it was great fun and Emily really enjoyed sitting on her Dad's knee and helping him to row!

On one of the days we decided to head to Skirlington Market then on to Bridlington
afterwards but nan & Grandads car broke down half way there! Lucky for us the AA man brought us all to a near by pub which happened to have a play area in the garden! Emily even cried when the car was fixed and it was time to go hehe

When we finally got to Bridlington i bought a heap load of tokens from the wrong desk so we had to use them up in one small area but luckily Emily decided to be allot braver than she has ever been before and went on a kiddies big wheel, the dodgems with me and her dad, and the teacups

Hannah was good as gold all week even though her feeding pattern was a mess and she had allot of late nights.

She loved taking in all the sights and watching her big sister on the rides and dancing about like a lunatic at the clubhouse, infact Hannah doesnt really care where she is or what she is doing so long as she can see her favorite person in the world... Emily!

Hannah loves food, even if i have just fed her if i sit down with something to eat she watches me swallow every bite like a starved child so while we were on holiday i gave in and let her try some doughnut which she really enjoyed and she also had a nic-nac in the clubhouse, she managed to eat them both without too much trouble or teeth!

The last day of our holiday was by far the best, the weather was beautiful and we headed down to Scarborough seafront to play on the sand, i had hoped to take Emily rock-pooling which was also on her list of things to do but all the rockpools on Scarborough seafront and spa seem to have been buried with sand! So instead we all mucked in and built two mega sand castles and Emily later went paddling in the sea with her dad and went on a donkey called Roony who was so bad tempered he bit the owner!

We had a fantastic time and Emily fell asleep in the car on the way home, when she woke up at home she was mortified, she wanted to be back on holiday again!

Sharing

Well this is it, the first night Emily and Hannah have shared a bedroom, Emily as always was good as gold, especially considering i put them both up at the same time and both awake, she didnt make a peep, just snuggled down hummed to herself for a bit and went straight to sleep. Hannah soon got bored of the fact her antics were not getting her big sisters attention and fell asleep shortly after hehe

I love my girls so much!

Immunisations

My poor baby!!!

A few weeks ago we got some post addressed to Emily, it was an appointment card for her booster jabs and as i had Hannah's coming up just before hers i decided to re-schedule Hannahs so they would have them on the same day so Emily could go first and not see Hannah wailing.

She was so brave about it, especially after i showed her a girl on you tube being brave, she came willingly to the doctors, it was all going really well till we got in the room with the nurse and she clapped eyes on the needle, it was like wrestling a bear! I couldnt believe her strength and it was torture having to force her to sit still, absolubtly horrible!!

She came out of it with a massive bruise on her right arm where she overpowered me and moved while the needle was in, im so glad she doesnt have to have anymore now till she is 13 which will be done at school so luckily i wont be there to hold her down lol My poor little love

She did however get a trip to the toy shop out of it and she bought a new torch for bedtime and a 3D viewer with Dora and Diego film strips.
We also had counted her money box before hand and found she had saved up £35 so i told her she could take it to spend and she bought a bike with it! Really pleased, its perfect for her and was marked down to £38 as it was the display model, she is made up with it :0)

No Dummy

For the past few months i have been slowly seperating Emily from her dummy and managed to get her to leave it in bed, she only had it if she was on her way to bed/nap or if she was poorly and feeling misrable and i told her if she nagged me for it throughout the day i might have to consider throwing them away all together.

So anyway last week she pushed me a bit too far and started doing an Annie impression screaming the house down for her dummy so i lost my rag and threw them in the bin (little did she know i took them out again when she wasnt looking just incase i wasnt strong enough to stick to my guns)

She moaned and got upset when bedtime came but didnt cause too much trouble so i decided to make her a reward chart with 7 days and told her if she filled all the boxes with stars she would get a big girl slide for the back garden!
She was very excited about it and even more determined to fill the chart and i was just as excited as her as i have been wanting to get her a big slide for ages!

Well she filled the chart, i spent days trawling the internet trying to find the right one without joy and gave in and decided to take her to toys r us to look at them and all she wanted was the little one! It was even smaller than her toddler slide she already has! It kinda burst my bubble, i had been dieing to see her face light up when she saw the big ones and get all excited about it hahaha

We went home without one...
So today i went back to the store and picked out a 6ft wavey pink one and bought it without her knowing and even though she was adament she didnt want a big slide yesterday, when she saw it was pink changed her mind!

She was a bit scared to go down at first but after 50 odd slides i had hell on getting her to come in to bed! hahaha

I know i will be getting nagged as soon as she opens her eyes in the morning!

Hairdressers

Emily finally gave in and let us take her to a hairdressers today!

When ever i do her hair i invite her into mummys hairdressers and she thinks its funny when i chat to her pretending she is a real customer and i ask her things like "what style does madame want this week? have you been on holiday recently?" etc

Well she was very entertaining in the salon, she was sitting on this enormous booster cushion with the shawl on pulling faces at herself in the mirror throughout whilst holding a great conversation with the hairdesser, a conversation that she was leading! haha

She was telling her things like "Sometimes my mum says im a bossy boots"
She is such a character, im so proud of her, she is like a ray of sunshine bringing smiles to everyones mundane days
