Wave!

I decided it was high time Hannah started waving so i have been waving her hand for her for the past couple of days which she thought was pretty funny, she is so cheeky she has a lovely smile and sense of humour and loves to rough house.

So anyway i was doing the usual night-time routine tonight and made her wave to her daddy then we say goodnight to the other Hannah in the mirror on the way upstairs and her hand moved a bit, so we went back to Daddy and i said "Wave goodnight to Daddy" and without any help at all she did a perfect wave!!
Just to check if it was a fluke we went to wave to Emily and again a perfect wave! She was very pleased with herself hehe

LGI 4 month post op checkup

We went to LGI today for Hannahs checkup appointment and as per usual she was a little star, she is very comfortable in the endless coridors and was riding side saddle in her pram so she could laugh at her daddy and make click clock noises in the roof of her mouth and entertained anyone who would watch in the lifts hehe.

She had to have a routine chest x-ray and we had a sit down with the doctor and he is super pleased with her recovery and progress. She has now been discharged from LGI and her 6monthly follow ups will be at Dewsbury with her original team under the care of Dr Brown.

10th-12th Sept Gail & Kirstie Visit

This weekend Gail and Kirstie came to visit for the weekend, Unfortunatly Daddy was at work so we couldnt go out and do much but on the Friday we decided to take off to Tropical World at Roundhay.  I decided it was a good idea to leave Hannah with Nan as Emily has been attention seeking lately and the one on one time would do her good, besides as we was all going in Gails car there was no room to take her.
Emily had a wonderful time! It was lovely to see the butterfly section was packed with butterflys for a change and she always loves visiting her favorites the Meercats.

Afterwards we decided even thought it was pretty cold to have a walk through the park to the swings.  I had bought Emily a small bug catcher from the gift shop so we were on the lookout for mini-beasts.

We played around at the play area for a while while the grownups had a hot chocolate from the ice-cream van then walked back to the car.  Just as we got back to the path to the carpark i spotted some Ladybird Lavea on a leaf so we collected them up and took them home although i didnt rate their chances of survival much.
When we got back i went in to check on her straight away and Nan reported that she had been good as gold as usual.
Hannah really likes Kirstie, and she loves to make Gail laugh by cocking her head to the side and playing peepo which is mega sweet!

On Sunday we all went out for tea at the Waky Warehouse which is Hannahs first visit to a restaurant and a soft play area. She sat up at the table in her high-chair and tried carrot and cucumber, it went really well, she loved playing with the balls in the soft play area and her favorite was the bendy mirror which she sat playing infront of for ages. Unfortunatly all that fun backfired when she was a bit sicky on her dress whoops!

Its been a long time since i braved such a place with Emily but it turned out to be a great time to go as it was late on most people had been and gone already so after our meals we went down for a play.  Emily took off straight away into the big kids section but after about 5 mins she burst out crying so i had to leave Hannah propped in the baby bit and race up to find out what was wrong with Emily.  Thankfully she had just scared herself and gotten a bit disorientated, with the way she yelled i thought she had broken an arm or something!

So she re-joined me Hannah Gail and Kirstie in the baby bit and played in the ball-pit.  She is now hooked to Waky Warehouse!!

Day out!

Today we was supposed to be meeting up with Anne and the girls at Sundown Adventure Land.
Unfortunatly it didnt quite go as planned and after getting lost in a never ending stressfull hot and sweaty Doncaster we decided to give in and go back to Wakefield.
I managed to distract Emily by letting her play with my camera so she went snap happy and took a few pics hehe

Emily was a bit upset about us not getting to Sundown as she had been looking forward to going but lucky for her on the way back we passed by Hemsorth Waterpark and decided to bob in to make something of the day, the weather was beautifull and after claiming a pic-nic bench for Nan to sit on we played in the sand for a bit then bought 3 tickets for the train.

Emily loved the fact that we was taking Hannah on with us and posed for this photo, she even held her during half of the train ride but then asked me to move her with me so she could hold on properly.

Hannah also had a go on the toddler swings there and is so stable now she sits up straight and holds on by herself instead of being propped with a blanket like she was before.

Then Nanna had a great idea of nipping home for some lunch and a cup of tea then taking the girls up to Horbury Park so Emily could take her bike (Emily got her way and we actually ended up taking her bike AND scooter lol!).  She loves going up there on her new bike and its nice and relaxing as all the floor is level and rubber coated so we can sit with the flask and enjoy watching Emily.  Anyway Nanna had'nt finished with the great ideas yet! She then suggested taking Hannahs walker with us!
What a fantastic idea, i dont know why we never thought of it before, Hannah loved being among it all and Emily loved sharing the fun with her little sister as always hehe

Rainy Day Fun

Well what a horrible gray day it was today so we decided to go round to Nannas and get out all the pop up tents and the ball pool and ran a tunnel between the tent and pool, it was great fun but even better fun when i realised we could put Hannah in her door bouncer and post her in through the top of the ball-pool! Emily thought it was brilliant fun having someone to share the fun with!
Both girls loved it, Hannah was squealing with joy and Emily was laughing her head off, it was deffinatly one of my better ideas and kept them entertained for ages.

Flamingoland!

A massive group of us went to Flamingoland on Thursday and Friday and we had a fantastic if exhausting time!
We snook Emily in for free by pretending she was under three, it was never questioned which was good as i had been worried someone might ask for proof of age but she is such a dainty little thing for her age.

She had the most amazing 2 days ever, she was so brave and went on just about every ride she could and walked her little legs off, she loved watching the baboons, giraffes, zebra and best of all the baby meercats and we also went to the Sealion show 2 days running as she enjoyed it so much!

The first time she saw the frog hopper running every kid on it burst out crying the first time it bounced so she decided she didnt like the look of it but on the second day when Liam was going on she braved it and loved it! I think they must have been on it about 5 times hehe

Gemma came too and Emily loved pretending to be a big girl and hanging out with Gemma.
There was only one ride that Emily didnt like and that was a driving track where the kids drive battery operated cars and she got all upset because she wasnt strong enough to steer so i had the man hit the power off button so i could run in and rescue her.  After she had calmed down she told me how much she loves me :0)

It wasnt much fun for Hannah as she is a bit too young for it yet but she enjoyed riding in the front of the pram amusing herself and taking in the sights, she also enjoyed the pic-nic and managed to pinch Mo's cheese sandwhich which she gummed to death and really enjoyed

On the second day she spent some time in her carry harness so i was running about and giving her a ride so she didnt feel left out.

She is such a plesant well behaved little baby, she spent allot of time with Nanna while we all went on rides and was never a bit of bother
She is my little angel and i love her to bits and pieces!

Before we left we visited the gift shop and Emily picked out a Giraffe mask, we will deffinatly be doing this again next year, everyone had a brilliant but very very tiring time.
