Parking!

Me and Nanna had been thinking it might be a good idea to take Emily to the park as she hasnt been for a long time, but on the way past in the car i could see it was heaving and remembered it was half-term and not such a good idea.

So instead we took her to the play area in the middle of Lupset, which as it happens had far more facilities than the one in Thornes Park.

Anyway after about 20 mins we was awfully cold, our cheeks were chapped and a dirty big grey cloud was forming overhead so i told Emily it was time to leave.

To which pouting at me with her gorgeous little face she announced "aww mum im just Parking, i love Parking mum!"

Cheeky Monkeys

Me and Nanna took Emily to an indoor play area today called Cheeky Monkeys, apart from a very brief visit when she was about 14 months old when she fell over on a plastic see-saw and put her bottom teeth through her top lip she hasnt really been to one yet.
Well she was very excited when we arrived, there was kids everywhere, screaming running about .. the little heathens. Not a good idea to go to such a place on a Saturday it turns out.
This place was great apart from the fore-mentioned brats everywhere, the facilities were great and lots to do for a child of Emily's age.
She is still quite shy with other kids and was like a little lost soul till i went in and rescued her but to be fair on her, these kids even intimdated me!
I think she had a good time though, she certainly burned off some energy and flaked out in the car ..

Meet Frosty

Fancy us getting real snow for a change it was lovely fluffy, clean, deep and fun!
While Emily, Nanna and Grandad waited for me to get home from work, Grandad made a great sledge out of a plastic storage box which worked a treat!

Then of course i had to build Emily a snowman, which she thought was fantastic :0)

To say she wasnt cold, "im not cold Mummy, im just playin snow!" she took some warming up when i finally convinced her we deserved a cup of tea for our hard work.

After a strip down, dry and a packet of crisps and a hot water bottle from Nanna she was good as new!

Happy 2nd Birthday!

I blinked and suddenly Emily has grown into a beautiful, intelligent, comical Toddler!
She is 2 now and bright as a button, she is a real chatterbox and knows her numbers up to 10 and can sing the alphabet with ease.

She knows nearly every nursery rhyme i can remember and some i don't know the words to myself!

She's a typical girly girl who loves sparkly things and magic and her favorite colour, of course, is Pink!

Best of all she is gentle, loving, caring, a breath of fresh air

Well on your birthday morning the first thing you did is what every girl should do! Have breakfast in bed!

We got you a birthday badge which you loved and wanted on straight away and you sat very still on our bed while i wet your hair and put your bunches in.A couple of weeks before your birthday, just after Christmas we had been looking through a catalogue that came through the post and on the very back page was a Fi-Fi kitchen. I remember you looked at me and said "Mummy, i would like a FiFi kitchen!"
It was the first time you had ever really asked me for anything specific so i knew i would be getting you it no matter what the cost!

Lucky for me it was on half price sale! After playing with your new kitchen you had a ride round to Nanna & Grandad's house on your new bike and played in your indoor trampoline with the music really loud bouncing around like a lunatic

Then we had a little tea party for you round at Nannas and all your cousins came and we danced around, you looked gorgeous in your new party dress that Auntie Celia bought you.

Favorite Food?

Emily has always been a very picky eater, especially when we were trying to ween her.  She hated anything with mixed textures and would always spit things out if they had any lumps in much to my frustration.
However one thing she did enjoy eating no matter how often me and Nanna tried to stop you was dog biscuits!!

A star is born!

You have always loved music and by 13 months old you would sing along with most nursery rymes, not to mention your favorite song "We Will Rock You!" by Queen which was all thanks to your Auntie Rie buying you an extremely annoying singing baby for your first christmas

You loved it when we got the microphone out for you to sing with and you gave a very impressive version of "Hello Hello, how are you" all by yourself and we sang Old McDonald and you made all the animal noises including duck, dog, snake, horse, monkey, sheep and cat!
